ROOM PIECE V

Get a telephone that only echoes back your voice.
Call every day and complain and moan
about your life and people around you.

I often wonder if telling people about my problems does more harm than good.I still don't know the answer.

The complain just bounces right back you. What a waste of time. Wow! Great way to stop the self pity and do something about you dislike. Thanks for the reminder.

If we learn to listen to ourselves, what we think and what we say, we can learn a lot.

There is a verse in Sanskrit which says something like: There are different kinds of clouds in the sky- some give rain, some just cause thunder and move along. Don't go moaning about how thirsty you are to all the clouds...

Thankyou Yoko, this has reminded me of something I seem to have forgotten some time ago.

Lol. Don't tempt me Yoko! Haha!

Complaining doesn't do any good. I tend to complain a lot. It's a bad habit! I guess I just like doing it for some reason..though I feel as if I'm talking to a wall. Like my friend says, there are times when you just have to put your big girl panties on.....dealing with the situation is much easier than mindlessly running around an empty room. Where only echoes are stored..

It is like being stuck in a moment,
and you can not get out of it,
the complaining would be so heavy,
the moaning would tear you apart,
deep, dark and dreary.

We definitely do not want to go there,
much prefer ..............
a little bit of LOVE,
PEACE and PASSION,
a little UNDERSTANDING.

I will be gentle with myself,
allow myself to grow,
relax and be kind,
FORGIVENESS.

I found this by way of loretta.

Great advice :) Either you get tired of hearing yourself be negative and do something about it, or you just have a jolly good vent and then get on with life.

What a good exercise to do!
Oh Yoko! I m seriously thinking than 100 acorns won't be enough. I would love to have one acorn a day until the day I have to say 'see you next life'. Your acorns are an every day light indeed.
Thanks, thanks, thanks, Sister!

I love this. Sometimes it grates on my nerves when other people complain. I am guilty of it too. Perhaps complaining to only myself will help me be a better listener.
Peace,

if you are saying something that you wouldn't want to be listening to don't say it.

Works up to a point.

At what point does it stop working?

anyone ever sent a comment that didn't get to 100 acorns. did you ever want to see it there but didn't see it. Must have happened to me twice now. fist time it happened i tried to recreate the comment but i knew it wasn't the same comment only a different thing. Last time it happened room piece 4 i thought i'd sent something long, complicated, personal, something to share and enjoy. Butits not there and i can't bebothered to recreate it.

When recreate?
Why recreate?
Can you recreate or is it always different?

I have nothing to complain and moan about.

I don't need a phone. The only voice I ever hear is my own.

Yes, I once had a telephone like that,
it became boring, so I got rid of it
and got another one
with three magic 'three' numbers.

When one dials these three numbers
he/she gets biiiig ears.

Oh Yoko, when are you going to call your phone at the Art Gallery of NSW in the Biennale of Sydney?
There are people loitering, waiting for your beautiful voice?
Maybe we should sing our complaints! I remember the US show "Saturday Night Live" used to have the Whingers, a couple who complained incessantly. it was hilariously funny.

If complaints are worthless, then lets burn the poetry books, lets start the fire right now.
If human understanding isn't important, then lets all get seperate apartments and leave the sick in the streets to die.
If hearing each other is a bother, then lets stick burning hot pokers into our ears.
If you can't be a friend when that friend is in time of need, then you are better off alone.
No one need be shamed.
