I do this on the beach, hopping from one to the next, playing a dancing game, some dissolve, and I land up with water, cleansing my feet, others take me, where my feet burn. I dance in between, water and fire, my mind flippant, enjoying being, carefree.
What a strange drawing! How many mixed feelings in it!: The warm and tender little foot of a child turns into the frightening appendage of a mutant (6 fingers!) Shaped as a heart one can read thousand stories inside it, as many as the different footsteps of the people it seems to contain: I can see a working woman carrying 5 children in her back. I can see a fat man ashamed of himself. I can see one hundred people lost looking for a highway. I can see a dark army pointing out their weapons to us. I can see 6 children having fun by poking into other people’s lives…
I emotionally do this all too often, feeling pain of others. It is a hard way to walk, but harder walk yet is the person walking in my footsteps because they get my grief and all those formentioned. But there will also be joy.
My father used to tell me to put myself in someone else's shoes, and I think it was the best piece of learning he ever taught me. I used to be an actor, and would revel in playing other characters. I learnt about myself through other people. I wonder when I walk on the beach if walking in readymade footsteps saves energy or is harder work... I like to leave my own mark!
This reminds of the wonderful poem, "Footprints in the Sand": One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it:
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."
The LORD replied:
"My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you
When I count what's wrong with my life, I get totally depressed. When I count the good things, I feel like smiling and I do. Then I think, "well, it's not all that bad." Life is just a bowl of cherries. But when I see myself smiling in the mirror, I like myself more. Well, life is a roller-coaster. That's what I now think. Recently, I got a message that I was a king, and I should stop the battle, and appreciate my victory. Well, I should listen to this one. And you, too, my friend. We are all kings. The battle is the battle of goodness winning WORLD PEACE. At all times, find something that makes you laugh. Laughter is the best workout! Chimpanzees are wise to it. Are you?

I've walked in others footsteps:
1. Thru' a courtroom
2. Thru' a protest
3. Thru' a prison
4. Thru' a war
I find the last walk the hardest.
i can not
can not walk
in war
without
thick shoes

Walk in no ones footsteps
Walk together
A movement
In movement
Mark an aspiration
Make a difference
Develop hope
Walk
Whether the path be paved or not
If it keeps your feet dry or not
Walk
Let your footsteps join there's and mine
Walk

Then find a place where no other has walked..........
