WISH PIECE I

Make a wish. Write it down on a piece of paper.
Fold it and tie it around a branch of a Wish Tree.
Ask your friends to do the same.
Keep wishing until the branches are covered with wishes.

I WISH for all the beautiful concepts,
to create rainbow reflective raindrops,
that gather together to create,
a storm that will wash away,
all pain and suffering,
cleansing our very souls,
to create a new beginning.
Here all those wishes manifest.

LOVE & LIGHT

I want for ALL of humanity to WAKE UP !

I've had this same want for over 40years - since the age of aquarius.

But it seems the populace is in an even 'darker' place today.

I love your wish samm;. I close my eyes and I feel joy and peace. I have written down your wish and my three year old daughter hung it on our oak tree. She loves it because I drew a rainbow in it. Your wish has brought joy to our souls.

Thank you!

Thank you Yoko for starting the Wish Piece!

Love and Peace to you.

I did this! Yoko has Wish Trees here in Pasadena, California! My son and I went downtown when the installation first opened, wrote down our wishes and placed them on one of the many wish trees. The trees are covered in wishes now. It is wonderful to see!

This concept is performed at Native American Sundance rituals. I had the opportunity to participate in a Sundance ceremony.Everyone that attended brought their wishes written down on paper and they were all tied to the limb of a Cottonwood tree. Native Americans consider Cottonwood trees to be sacred because they reveal that there is water beneath the earth where they are growing. Anyway, after all of the wishes were tied to the tree the the tree limb was cut off and considered sacrificed so all the prayers and wishes would come true. The limb was then attached to the back (actually sewn through his skin) of one of the tribe members. Then the ritual continued by him dragging the limb around the ceremonial space. He was accepting the pain so all of the prayers and wishes would come true. The miracle of all is that every wish/prayer of mine did come true. I am grateful for being able to have been a part of that ceremony and am grateful to Yoko for reminding me of it today!
Peace, Love + Blessings to everyone and I hope all of our wishes come true!

I am going to do this
Maybe I will make a wish tree in the park for wishes of all kinds
Maybe I will tie a box around the trunk with paper and pencils so that passers by can make a wish.
I think this is a fabulous idea.
Making our wished known is the first step in helping them come true.

I am a light soul,
who is crying out loud,
feeling the pain '
feeling lost,
in a sea of emotional upheaval,
the storm before the calm.

When you realize,
you are in the storm,
look for the sparkles,
of light,
allow the rain
to change color.

Different colors,
heal different
dis eases.
Wash away,
the fear
to expose
yourself.

Who am I?

searching for the self

I love this lovely idea of a wish tree! There should be a wish tree in every square and park in the world.

I did it, Yoko. I meant to see your installation in Pasadena, California, and accidentally stumbled into it. My boyfriend and I both sat and wrote wishes. The trees were covered. It was beautiful.

I wish people would stop calling me "Janis" when I am tying wishes to trees in places like the Rock Hall...

I wish Yoko had called when I was walking past that phone...

I wish everyone would just let me smoke my damn cigarettes AND save the freaking world...

I wish all the famous folks of the world would join togetehr to accomplish more than a "band aid" to heal the world's ills...

I still wish I had died when I was 5

I wish the gods would explain themselves better

I wish I were with the one I love

I wish I'd never had an idea to save the world

I wish I had an ounce of privacy

I wish I could trust again, or had ever really learned to

I wish I could make all the sorrows in the world disappear

I wish humans would learn what they need to create a sustainable future
