Mend an object.
When you go through the proccess of mending, you mend something inside your soul as well.
Think of a "crack" in your own life or the World.
Ask for it to be healed as you mend the object.

i have a door that i thumped twice
it has three holes in it
the other is a key hole
put the key in the hole to close the hole take it out to open it
It's not enough to ASK, you must demand, as you mend.
I'm still working on yesterdays piece! Being a technician, today's will be easy, and can make it all nicer.
Use strong glue when mending!
Destruction can be another way of mending too. This summer I've spent a whole month tearing down walls to make clearer and wider some rooms in the old house. I felt that animosity, ill feelings or hostility were melting inside me at the same time.
Yoko,
You are amazing. As a nurse I help to mend others. You have given me a new way of thinking about mending and a new way of thinking about my profession. Bless you Yoko.

Yoko,
You have given me a new outlook on mending. As a nurse I help to mend others. Thank you for this post.

There is a huge crack in my soul right now, as I try to deal with my broken body. Like a bird who doesn't understand that it can no longer fly, I struggle to soar with the others, flailing on the ground in my own tears (that I am oh so sick of crying).
I will mend something. If I can't mend my body, I might be able to mend my soul. My spirit will live on.
(deja vous...)
Piecing the world together,,,I do a lot of mending and feel v gratified by it. I see people making quilts and patchworks out of scraps and I know they feel they've created order out of chaos. Return the energy!
What a liberating practical exercise!
Thanx, Yoko.
Wonderful observation.......

I think I need to get back to some sewing! Would that mending my broken soul were so easy...
You are very right,Yoko.
It does mend one's soul to mend something.
Do you suppose that's why many elderly people knit?
