100 Acorns
It's been 44 years since my book of conceptual instructions, GRAPEFRUIT was first published in 1964.
On 15 June 1968, John Lennon & I planted two acorns for peace at Coventry Cathedral. It was the first of our many Peace 'Events'.
In the summer of 1996, I picked up from where I left off, and wrote 100 ACORNS.
Starting on the 40th anniversary of the Acorn Peace Event on 15 June 2008, I will publish here an 'Acorn' every day for 100 days.
After each day of sharing the instructions, you should feel free to question, discuss, and/or report what your mind tells you.
I'm just planting the seeds.

- When I count what's wrong with my life, I get totally depressed. When I count the good things, I feel like smiling and I do. Then I think, "well, it's not all that bad." Hey I’m recovered now and I wanted to tell you that it’s beautiful to look at the map at the 100 Acorns page and see how many people around the world has visited the page, but the most beautiful thing it’s to realize that some other soul it’s there at the same than you. When you are active your star in the map starts blinking. Those blinking stars they seem to be dancing at the unison. Please Yoko before planting your acorn 100 I would love you told us to meet all together and make our stars shine and dance on that map at the same time. Please give us a day, an hour and a minute to visit 100 ACORNS site at the same time, so we can do our shiny choreography and laugh together.

I have been trying to find a home for The Ideal School of Manhattan. As my eyes glazed over, I found myself clicking onto your beautiful acorn site. I know you will love this brave little school. Children from all backgrounds and abilities are schooled together(Downs Syndrome, Autism, Typically Developing Child, Gifted & Talented Child). All of you have got to find a way to make the Worker Ownership of the Mondragon Cooperative of the Basque in Northern Spain work here in America... and then the rest of this Beautiful Planet. It is the best way I have ever heard of spreading out the wealth, so we can then live in Peace.
Oh Lord in Heaven, how sweet is this thought! Yes, Yes, I will I will! I will give it all away and leave only dancing for me. I will dance for Yoko Ono, I will Go for Jorge Artajo! I will fly for the love of them all, and I will always wish for these acorns to never end, they have brought me to a place in my soul that needs bringing to.
Freedom rings in my ears from the burdens of the beast that I had become. I am a sprite! I am an angel! I am free, and thanking God for life! I am breaking through, and I will hammer at the ceiling until I make my way.

carolina: I agree with you about Cooperativism as the only peaceful and fair way of spreading out wealth and to make greadiness to come to and end once for all.
That is justice...and justice will bring peace to mankind.
Everything you (jorge, rachel and carolina) have said perfectly fits what John dreamt in Imagine.
I totally agree with lavinialuna: this 100 acorns experience should never end.
'We all shine on...'
As Caroline Nickel says: yes that Worker Ownership of the Mondragon Cooperative at the Basque Country in Northern Spain its a great idea and it works there in Mondragon and in some other places in the Basque Country, but it hasn't spread through all the rest of Spain, I think that it can be due to the violence created by the independentist group E.T.A. Some Spanish people use to identifie everything Basque with E.T.A, which is a mistake, so maybe in the USA this idea will work much more easily, and it's a very good idea for working people, because they are the owners of the factories or Companies in which they are working. I wish you the best with this project.
Rachel and Carolina, the projects you mentionned are very inspiring indeed. Thank you for sharing.

I feel inspired to seize bulls by horns! What fantastic stuff and people.
So many things to do, and I took myself out into our garden and did some gardening, after dancing all night! Gosh my hips hurt from shaking them!
