Dear Friends
I am very happy and suprised that so many of you did the Acorns Event which took 100 days!
I feel like we got to know each other through sharing those days.
As a little bonus to wind up the 100 Acorns blog, I will additionally present here (from 27 Sept 2008) my 13 Days Do-It-Yourself Dance Festival.
It was originally sent out by mail order in London between 27 Sept and 9 Oct 1967.
Keep dancing through life.
Know that you are not alone.
Enjoy!
lots of love
yoko

I am freak dancing at my desk to Can's Tago Mago.
Blimey, the blinds are off.
What would my crip pals say about me freak dancing. Spazz dancing as perfected by Joy Division's Ian Curtis is certainly a no no in the movement. It's about the language not the dance though. I guess we should dance as we want to.
I need to get in touch with my dance again. That wild thing i described before. I might just do that tonight. Bean's out partying. I know i'll be playing more music. I'll start with Buddy Guys Feels like rain. I know that much. After that who knows where the dance goes.
For me its possible to dance without music and i do jerk sometimes, spontaneous and to my own internal rhythms but to me to hear music to dance to is better than doing it mentally, or telepathically.
I was listening to someting somewhere over the last 24 hours and i can't remember what it was but i heard about the universe of music coming again at the right time in the night time to be one you love. It might have been PG Six. Anyway, that was a good idea even though i've just corrupted it with another blue line.
We didn't discuss the colopur of lines did we? I write black or blue lines, i am descended from a white line, i used to see things crossed out in white lines. I've got one of those zany pens on my desk with mutiple colours in it. I haven't used the green one yet. Why don't i use green to unfold my words. I wonder what line dance green would do on an acorn site where positive things were predicted for the environment.
I guess these have been good news lines.
Nice to be addressed as a friend. Thanks for that Yoko. Thanks acorn devourers for the respect you afforded me when i revealed unpalatable things about myself and my struggle on a blog that gives so much to concepts of love and peace. I guess i was in that field once and i guess my links with another history are strong. I wish to promote love and peace again. This is my days promotion. What's yours.
...... can u read my mind?
...... exactly
...... then lets do it :)x
Thank you for the acorns, Yoko.
I am looking forward to the bonus dance festival. :)

I opened a magazine today (in Australia) and saw an interview/article on you Yoko and the Imagine Peace Tower. Amazing! Iceland looks so peaceful - what a perfect place.
The Acorns send out ripples of hope (and will continue to do so while they remain online) - who knows what impact they may have.
We are not on our own. It's kind of comforting to know that others all over the world struggle with the rhythm and the steps in the same way we may.
I saw this old YouTube video of Bobby Kennedy's eulogy 40 years ago - somehow I thought of these Acorns in this speech - seeds of hope

Detrech my promotion for the day is respect - for ourselves as individuals and each other as a collective, no matter what.
Now must go and find my dancing shoes. Cannot wait. Let's practice hard so that on October 9 we have an international dance party for someone special!
I was just infored that although this is an EXCELLENT diversion to reality (I've enjoyed the "Acorns" these last 100 days)that on Oct. 7th, 2008 is a Webbot prediction to the Americans' implementation of MARTIAL LAW.
I know, as an artist and multi-millionaire, Yoko need not concern herself with this issue, but I thought it a good medium to bring it to the attention that it deserves.
I retract my last imput.
I am so excited! This will be a great dance. We have the best coreographer, Ms. Yoko Ono. It does not get better.
I'm ready for the 1, 2, 3 count to start dancing. Yessss!!!

I just woke up and am not sure what king of dancing I will be up to today, but I WILL be dancing.
How neat of a concept to send letters in the mail back in 1967. What was the reaction to it, as big as the reaction to the acorns? You are so innovative Yoko.
Detrich, remember Ian's dance too (LOL!) and I think I might do some serious damage to myself if I try. Besides, if you can't fall into a trance while you are doing it then the effect is lost ;)
Also, my day's promotion is brotherhood. Lets take care of each other.
OMG, the typo's!!! See, I just got up, I told you that!!

There, is that better?

I really need an acorn tattoed on my skin, or implanted in my body...I don't want to forget all these important people and things that have inspired me over the last 3 months. I feel such a lot of wisdom has poured through us all...
best thanks and love
LETS ALL GET AN ACORN TATOO!!!!!! Cool idea, Sarah Goffman!
Yay! I'm so happy that it's not over.
I very much enjoyed taking part in all 100 acorns.
and look forward to the Dance Festival very much as well!
Thank you for everything,Yoko!
Being a cautious sort of being, I think I'll get an invisible acorn tattoo. Then I'll try to find a physical acorn to put on my computer, maybe two more to plant in celebration of Yoko & John's '68 planting. Maybe a few more to put in a small box - shamelessly copying Yoko's 'Box of Smile', 'ONOBOX', 'Yes Box', etc.
Thank you for your repeated statements, Yoko, such as "Know that you are not alone" and "Stay alive, we need your energy". Every one needs to know these things now and then.
Today my energy says NO! to the prediction of martial law in the US.
I think we can dance with no music. The example that comes to mind is Merce Cunningham's dance 'Points in Space', with John Cage's 'Voiceless Essay' as sound accompaniment. They were created separately, with no knowledge of what the other was doing, then combined in performance. Nice one, but I have more fun dancing to 'Every Man-Every Woman'.
thanks,
this has been a wonderful blog experience. this is the true potential of new technology. I shall be coming back to 100 acorns many times.
